The Certification & Data Management Specialist is responsible for securing and maintaining external certifications for products, (e.g., CFI, Cradle to Cradle). The role will require the individual to acquire the knowledge and understanding of the certification policies and procedures, as well as gaining an understanding of the internal data management system. Guided by the Manager’s specific needs and goals, you are expected to analyze the data and create reports to trigger actions to maintain compliance.


·         Collaborating with the external certification agency to ensure material compliance and answering any queries

·         Gain in depth knowledge of the specific certification requirements and policies

·         Working internally with cross functional teams to maintain data integrity and ongoing compliance

·         Establish a system for continual monitoring of certification status

·         Engage and follow up with Vendors for missing information required for certifications

·         Inform certifying body of additions or changes to scope of materials

·         Maintain data management system with all new and renewal certifications

·         Analyze data and provide reports to trigger action within the teams to ensure ongoing compliance

·         Isolate non-compliant materials or formulas. Work with cross functional teams to understand and follow up to completion the steps required to achieve compliance

·         Assist with reports and data extraction when needed

·         Investigate any new certificate requests including feasibility to maintain inhouse vs external agencies




·         Looking for someone with a scientific or analytical background who has preferably previously worked on obtaining external certifications

·         Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)

·         Problem solving and excellent analytical skills are crucial to the role

·         Highly organized individual with strong attention to detail

·         Excellent collaboration plus written and oral communication skills are very important to ensure good working relationship with cross functional internal teams and external suppliers

·         Able to work with minimal supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other

·         Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word etc.)

·         Fluent in English
