Main purpose of the role

Monitor and Manage chemical substances and cosmetic ingredients related regulatory information with a focus on EU and the EMEA region

Inform relevant internal stakeholders to anticipate regulations, assess foreseeable impacts, Propose strategies and minimize impacts on the group activities.

Main responsibilities:

Participate to professional organizations

 

Participate to professional organizations such as Cosmetics Europe, FEBEA working groups related to 'ingredients' related subjects, as Shiseido representative,
Participate to consortia for the defense of specific substances, where necessary

Issue regulatory information on substances under discussion, drawing necessary recommendations and strategy

 

Monitor, manage, issue/share regulatory information on chemical substances and cosmetic ingredients under discussion, and adopted regulations (i.e. Cosmetic, REACH, CLP, GHS)
Issue/share regulatory information, draft recommendations and propose strategies to anticipate and minimize impacts for the group activities (e.g. reports, alerts…)
Manage surveys from professional organizations, consortium and authorities on chemical substances and cosmetic ingredients with relevant internal stakehoders
Update regulatory global "ingredients" database to ensure compliance

Check regulatory compliance upon request (subtances, formulas and products)

 

Check regulatory status of ingredients/substances upon request
Ensure regulatory support to group's companies
 

 

Profil

You have a Master degree in: Biology, chemistry, cosmetology, regulations and/or equivalen and a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in chemical substances and ingredients regulatory affairs

Required competences

-             Mastering of  applicable regulations (i.e. Cosmetic, REACH, CLP, GHS)

-             Mastering scientific knowledge (chemistry, biology, toxicology) relevant to the job

-             Previous participation to professional organizations

-             Written and oral communication skills

-             Analysis of scientific data,
